In the heart of Hamburg’s HafenCity, Port des Lumières invites you to enjoy a unique immersive experience across more than 1,700 m², where monumental projections, music and interactive installations come together.
Spread across two levels, Port des Lumières is designed to be explored freely. Move through the different spaces, change perspectives and experience each show in your own way, from the spectacular Main Hall to the mirrored Infinity Room and the maritime world of Hamburg’s harbour.
The Main Hall
The Main Hall is the heart of Port des Lumières. With ceilings reaching up to 12 metres high, its monumental walls and floor are transformed by immersive projections, surrounding you with images, light and music. Move freely through the space and experience the show from different viewpoints. As you explore, the scale of the projections and the architecture of the hall continually offer new perspectives.
The Ship’s Bow
Inspired by Hamburg’s maritime heritage, the Ship’s Bow rises above the Main Hall and offers a unique viewpoint over the immersive projections. Step up to the railing and take in the full scale of the experience from above, as images unfold across the walls and floor below.
The Infinity Room
Step inside the Infinity Room, a circular space entirely covered in mirrors. Reflections multiply the projections, blurring the boundaries between image, space and viewer. Surrounded by images and light, watch as the immersive world appears to extend endlessly around you, offering a striking new perspective on the experience.
The Immersive Tunnel
Step into the maritime world of Hamburg in the Immersive Tunnel. Wood, steel, light and sensory effects evoke the atmosphere of the harbour as you make your way through this unique space. Along the way, discover more about Hamburg’s maritime heritage and the history of its port before emerging at the Ship’s Bow overlooking the Main Hall.
The Kids’ Studio
Designed especially for younger visitors, the Kids’ Studio invites children to unleash their creativity through playful, interactive activities. Create your own drawings and watch them come to life on a projection surface over five metres high. Children can then interact with their creations and the animated underwater world around them, combining creativity, discovery and play.
The Selfie Room
Step into the Selfie Room and become part of the immersive world yourself. Play with different characters and settings, strike a pose and capture unique moments along the way. Whether on your own, with friends or as a family, it’s a playful way to create your own memories of your visit to Port des Lumières.
